The project was first started as remodeling of existing rural hospital in the remote area of Chattisgarh. The hospital was existing in all semi Pucca buildings and having small OPD, around 50 bed, just two theaters one surgical and one maternity.
The first up gradation was done between 1983 to 1985. Adding 50 beds, four operation theatres, adding space for OPD and lab facilities also upgrading nursing college and constructed nurses hospital for 100 nurses.
In phase two total campuses got additional land to make it sufficient to upgrade to a 25 Acres of Medical College. Complete master was drawn to accommodate a Medical College for Under Graduate and Post Graduate Courses.
The 1000 bedded teaching hospital with various specialty beds, diagnostic units and radiology units are part of this master plan. Existing bed strength increased to 450 beds in Phase – I and first two academic years facilities including necessary labs, Anatomy section, lecture theatre and all the desired infrastructure already complete.
The desired residential accommodation for doctors, married and unmarried nurse and Para medical staff is made part of this master plan.
